The Hague — In a strong show of support for international chemical disarmament efforts, a €10,000 financial contribution has been made to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

🔬 Strengthening Scientific Oversight

The donation is intended to bolster the OPCW’s mission to promote chemical security and monitor compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention. The Scientific Advisory Board plays a crucial role in integrating scientific and technological advances into OPCW verification regimes and policy recommendations.

🌍 Global Cooperation in Chemical Safety

“We are grateful for the generous support that enables the Scientific Advisory Board to maintain scientific excellence in the face of evolving chemical threats,” said OPCW Director-General Fernando Arias.

Funds will be directed toward new research projects, expert meetings, and scientific capacity-building across member states.

🛡️ Toward a Safer Future

This contribution is part of a broader international movement to increase funding and focus on chemical weapons disarmament as global risks evolve. The OPCW remains the world’s leading authority in chemical non-proliferation, with 193 member states committed to eliminating chemical weapons in all forms.

LV33 Global will continue to follow the impact of this contribution and the scientific advancements it helps unlock in the global fight against chemical weapons.
